Finding comfort in discomfort.
Growth begins here.
Specialized, evidence-based therapy for adults navigating OCD, anxiety, BDD, PTSD, and depression — delivered with warmth and clinical rigor.
Our Approach
Our work is warm, collaborative, and centered on creating a space where you feel comfortable being yourself. We believe therapy should feel supportive and practical, while still giving you the tools and encouragement to make meaningful changes. Together, we’ll focus on what you’re experiencing, what matters most to you, and what feels manageable at each step.
We draw from approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention, Prolonged Exposure, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, tailoring our work to your individual needs rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. Our goal is to help you feel understood, supported, and empowered as you move toward the life you want.
Dedicated clinical focus.
OCD
When intrusive thoughts, mental rituals, or compulsions start taking up too much space in your life, it can feel exhausting—and sometimes impossible to break free from the cycle.
PTSD
Trauma can continue to affect you long after the event itself is over—through intrusive memories, nightmares, hypervigilance, avoidance, or feeling constantly on edge. These responses can make it difficult to feel safe, present, or fully engaged in your life.
Anxiety
Anxiety can take many forms—from chronic worry and social fears to panic, phobias, avoidance, and health-related fears. We work with a broad range of anxiety disorders, including Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Agoraphobia, Specific Phobias, and Illness Anxiety Disorder.
Depression
Depression can make even the things you once enjoyed feel distant, leaving you feeling stuck, disconnected, or without motivation. You may find yourself withdrawing from people and activities, which can unintentionally deepen the cycle.
Body Dysmorphic Disorder
When concerns about your appearance become consuming, it can lead to persistent self-consciousness, mirror-checking, comparing, reassurance-seeking, or avoiding situations altogether. Over time, these patterns can take up more and more space in your life.
Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors
Behaviors like hair pulling, skin picking, or nail biting can feel automatic, difficult to resist, and often happen in response to stress, tension, or uncomfortable sensations.
Structured, evidence-based therapy
"We draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure & Response Prevention, Prolonged Exposure, and Behavioral Activation to help you break unhelpful patterns, learn to manage discomfort, and build lasting skills. Therapy with me is active, structured, and goal-oriented — we'll practice evidence-based strategies you can apply in daily life."
Understand the patterns connecting your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors—and learn practical, evidence-based ways to respond differently. CBT helps you break unhelpful cycles, build more flexible thinking, and approach life with greater confidence.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
ERP is the gold-standard, evidence-based treatment for OCD. Together, we gradually face triggers and uncertainty while learning to resist compulsions—breaking the cycle that keeps OCD going and building greater freedom in your daily life.
Exposure & Response Prevention
PE is an evidence-based treatment for PTSD that helps you gradually and safely process traumatic memories while reducing the avoidance that keeps them feeling so powerful. Over time, the goal is for the trauma to feel like something that happened—not something that is still happening.
Prolonged Exposure
HRT is an evidence-based approach for reducing repetitive behaviors such as hair pulling and skin picking. Treatment helps you recognize the cues that trigger the behavior, build awareness of when it happens, and develop practical alternative responses to interrupt the cycle.
Habit Reversal Training
For depression, Behavioral Activation helps break the cycle of withdrawal and low motivation by gradually reconnecting you with meaningful activities, relationships, and experiences. The goal is to rebuild momentum and create more opportunities for your mood to improve.

In Their Words
“I came into ERP feeling terrified and convinced that I would never be able to break free from my OCD. Mena was compassionate, patient, and never made me feel judged. She helped me understand what OCD was doing and gradually taught me how to face uncertainty instead of constantly seeking reassurance. I feel like I have my life back!”
– A.B.
“What stood out most was how personalized the therapy was. Mena didn’t just hand me a list of exposures—she took the time to understand my particular OCD patterns and worked with me to build a treatment plan that felt challenging but manageable. I finally understand that recovery isn’t about eliminating every intrusive thought; it’s about not letting those thoughts control my life.”
– J.S.
“The biggest change was realizing that I could experience distress without immediately escaping from it. Mena helped me develop confidence in my ability to tolerate difficult emotions and memories. I still have hard days, but PTSD no longer feels like it defines my entire life.”
—K.S.
“Mena combined expertise with genuine compassion. She challenged me when I needed to be challenged, but I never felt pushed beyond what we had agreed upon. Therapy gave me practical tools that I could continue using outside of sessions.”
—C.F.
“Mena was compassionate without treating me like I was fragile. She listened carefully, answered my questions, and helped me approach treatment one step at a time. I learned that healing didn't require erasing what happened—it meant being able to live my life without the trauma controlling every decision.”
—B.K.
